Vision and Mission
OOur vision is to teach high school seniors/young adults how to have the confidence to defend their faith in Jesus Christ, learn life skills by doing, navigate relationships, and handle conflict which will help them be better prepared to successfully enter these next stages of life.
Our mission is to provide mentoring and to equip students to succeed and deepen their walk with Christ in their next stage of life. We have operated a continuously improving version of Life Prep Ministries since 2001 and have ministered to over 500 participants through our local church. We are now ready to embark on God’s call to expand the reach of Life Prep far beyond our current geographical area. Our goal is to follow the biblical model of equipping both for participants and new church partners thus making Life Prep’s core ministry one that can be replicated to reach far beyond any geographical or denominational limits.
History
Life Prep Ministries is born out of a program created by Peter and Laurie Travers at Northland Church over 20 years ago and is now an independent 501c3. The Travers, Gritters, and many others have poured into over 500 students over that time. The Gritters are honored to lead this ministry into the next generation.
Both Jack and Liz Gritter serve as mentors for students. Jack serves as Life Prep’s Board Chairman, and Liz is the Executive Director.
